When visiting a new place on business or for a family vacation, you’re bound to have questions about the city, your hotel accommodations, and opportunities for sightseeing and recreation. Here, we attempt to answer the most frequently asked questions (FAQs) about Marion Motor Lodge and the St. Augustine, FL, area.   • How far is Marion Motor Lodge from downtown?

    Almost everything you want to see in St. Augustine, FL, is within walking distance of the Marion Motor Lodge!  We are only 420 ft from the downtown 'Plaza de Constitution' and Bridge of Lions, The Marina is even closer. St. George street (shopping street) is just aross from The Plaza.

  • When are check-in and check-out?

    Check-in time starts at 4:00 pm. 

      Although you may park your car at 1:00n and come back to check in.

      Early check-ins can be arranged ($20 fee) by calling the hotel before arrival. 

    Check-out is at any time before 11:00 am

      Although you may keep your car in our parking lot until 12 pm. 

      Late check-outs can be arranged ($20 fee) by notifying the front desk.

  • Where can I park my car?

    Complimentary parking is offered with the understanding that parking is at 'your own risk', it is complementary, at our discretion, if available*. 


    *Since we cannot controle lot access 24/7, We make no guarantee of parking availability. 


    Also, we suggest bringing your smallest car. The city streets, and parking, are very narrow in the nation's oldest European village (450+ years old). 

     Also, to ensure parking: park-it early and leave-it.  

  • Can I bring my pet?

    Yes. And please do. The city has many pet friendly outdoor restaurants. A $30 per/pet, per/night fee applies. Please call to arrange.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellations made 24 hours in advance will not be charged. 


    *However - if you made your reservation through a 3rd party, such as Expedia or Booking.com or others, you will have to cancel through them! 

    You may be entitled to a refund based on how early you cancel and what the stipulations of your reservation were. That is between you and them.

  • When will my card be charged?

    If you booked with Marion Motor Lodge directly, we will not charge your card until you get here. In certain circumstances, we may pre-authorize your card before arrival to verify that funds are available. If you do NOT want us to do that with the card you have on file, please call us to discuss.

    We are not in controle of 3rd party booking sites.

  • Can I pay with cash?

    You are welcome to pay with cash on arrival. However, we still need a credit/debit card to have on file, and in certain circumstances, we may pre-authorize that card before you arrive for the amount of your first night's stay. You can still pay cash when you get here for the whole stay, but the hold on your credit/debit card funds may hang on for a few days according to your bank or credit card's policies.

  • Can I get cheaper rates if I book online with a 3rd party?

  • Do you provide breakfast?

    No, but we have coffee makers in each room to help you start your day and, great restaurants in town that serve wonderful breakfasts.

  • What about the Trolley?

    Yes! We sell tickets for the Old Town Trolley. The hop-on/hop-off... unlimited rides to and from any stop, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and includes access to the shuttle that goes to sites across the bridge over on Anastasia Island where the Alligator Farm, LightHouse, beaches, and more are located.

  • Smoking

    Our guest rooms are smoke-free.  Should evidence of smoking be found in your room during, or after your checkout, we reserve the right to charge a $250.00 cleaning charge to the credit card on file.


  • Damaged, Lost or Stolen Property

    The Management and Ownership of the Marion Motor Lodge is not responsible for damage, theft, or loss of any guests personal property.

  • Where do I your Availability?

    Please go to marionmotorlodge.com for the very latest, up to date availability.

  • Disruption

    Should you or anyone in your room disturb other guests at any time, we reserve the right to have you immediately removed from the property by the police, and without a refund. 

  • Pets

    Pet(s) must be registered with the front desk at check in for a fee of $30 per pet, per night. Should we find evidence of an undisclosed pet in your room your card will be charged the $30.00 fee for each pet, for each night of your stay with us.

  • Do you offer any Promo Codes when booking?

    Yes! Please go to marionmotorlodge.com for Promo Codes to save even more $!

Parking: You park at your own risk. Parking is complimentary. We offer parking at our discretion and oversized and/or special vehicles may have to find parking elsewhere at the driver's expense. And parking is offered only if available because the parking lot access can not be controlled 24/7 therefore, there is no guarantee of parking availability.

 

Smoking Policy: Our guest rooms are smoke-free, should evidence of smoking be found in your room during, or after your checkout, we reserve the right to charge a $250.00 cleaning charge to the credit card on file.


Disruption: Should you or anyone in your room disturb other guests at any time, we reserve the right to have you immediately removed from the property by the police, and without a refund.


Someone being disruptive?

Call St Augustine PD at (904) 825-1070, give them any details that you can. (e.g. Room number, description of disturbance, etc…) 

*Remember, you can remain anonymous if you wish.

*American Disabilities Act (ADA) Qualified Service dogs are welcomed as required by law.*

Emotional Support dogs are welcome with the payment of the usual Pet Fee.

FLORIDA. CS/SB 414 (https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2015/0414)

This law passed in 2015 classifies misrepresenting a dog as a service animal as a second-degree misdemeanor. Those who are caught breaking the law face a $500 fine and up to 60 days in jail.

Please:

  • Pets must be vaccinated
  • Pets must be well-behaved and get along with other pets and human guests
  • Your pet must be quiet if left unattended in the room
  • You must have liability insurance
  • Please have your pet on a leash at all times (City ordinance)
  • Your pet must be housebroken
  • There are several grassy lots in our immediate area to walk your pet
  • The City of St Augustine requires you to...
  • Pick up after your pet
  • And no barking dogs

How to avoid Extra Housekeeping Charges:

If your pet is accustomed to lying on furniture or beds, we ask you to bring blankets, or sheets to protect the hotel’s furnishings. Pets must not be bathed in the bathtubs or showers at any time. Any pet damage to the furnishings, fixtures, or room contents will be your responsibility including additional cleaning fees.


Guest’s pets are expected to be well-behaved and quiet, even when in the room. We request you provide us with an active mobile phone number so that we may contact you. The hotel reserves the right to terminate occupancy without refund if this policy is broken and a disturbance persists.
